PAPER DOLL SERIES 2014-2017

Continuing with my penchant for vintage toys, I started using vintage paper dolls as subjects. By eliminating specific details, the figures and related objects become symbolic icons without definitive meaning. Setting them in an atmospheric space turns the compositions into abstractions. These works imply meaning without explicit outcome: instead, action and interaction suggest, but do not define, possible narrative.
